I enjoy reading gothic & cosmic horror, supernatural fiction, and magical realism as well as attending book-related events around Austin. I also like hiking and taking night walks with my dog, Anyanka. Familial experience with retinal diseases motivated me to pursue research in retinal biology. Currently, I am investigating how lipid signaling cascades influence the regenerative capacity of retinal pigment epithelium.
